1. Scope and Acceptance
1.1. These Terms of Service (âTermsâ) constitute a binding agreement between you (âUserâ) and Secserv.me (âSecservâ, âweâ, âusâ) governing your access to and use of our web-based platform for client-side encryption and blockchain-based content monetization (âPlatformâ), accessible at https://landing.secserv.me/ or https://app.secserv.me/.
1.2. By accessing or otherwise using the Platform, you unconditionally accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Platform.
2. Definitions
- 2.1. User Data: Any text messages and/or file attachments that you encryptâeither separately or combinedâinto a single encrypted payload (âEncrypted Payloadâ).
- 2.2. Encrypted Payload: Data transformed client-side via AES-256 before transit or storage.
- 2.3. Free Message: Encrypted Payload accessible without blockchain payment.
- 2.4. Paid Message: Encrypted Payload that requires on-chain payment in USDC plus Base-network gas fees.
- 2.5. Wallet Provider: A non-custodial Web3 wallet integration (e.g., MetaMask, WalletConnect).
- 2.6. TTL: Time-to-live parameter dictating automatic deletion of a message post-expiration.
3. Service Description
3.1. Client-Side Encryption
- 3.1.1. All User Data is encrypted end-to-end in the browser using AES-256; decryption keys never leave the client.
- 3.1.2. Secserv only transmits encrypted blobs; we possess no decryption keys and therefore cannot access your content.
- 3.1.3. We do not collect EXIF data, file metadata, or headers; such information is never extracted, processed, or stored in plain form.
3.2. Content Monetization
- 3.2.1. Users may designate a message as Paid Message and set a USDC price.
- 3.2.2. Pricing is denominated in USDC on the Base blockchain; gas fees are paid in ETH.
- 3.2.3. Payment transactions execute via Wallet Provider smart contracts; Secserv does not custody funds.
3.3. Link Generation & Access Control
- 3.3.1. The Platform generates unique, non-guessable URLs for each message.
- 3.3.2. Users configure optional flags: password-protection, TTL, delete-after-read, hidden message, short-link.
- 3.3.3. Paid Messages require a successful on-chain payment workflow before decryption keys are delivered.
4. User Obligations
- 4.1.1. The accuracy, legality, and integrity of your User Data.
- 4.1.2. Safeguarding cryptographic passphrases and Wallet credentials.
- 4.1.3. Verifying on-chain transaction parameters (amount, slippage, gas limits).
4.2. Prohibited Uses:
- 4.2.1. Uploading content that violates applicable laws or third-party rights.
- 4.2.2. Attempting to reverse-engineer the Platformâs client or server code.
- 4.2.3. Circumventing access controls or using automated scrapers.
5. Payment Mechanics, Platform Fee, Purchase Workflow & Irreversibility
5.1. Purchase Workflow
- 5.1.1. Approve â call ERC-20 approve(spender, amount) on the USDC contract to authorize spending.
- 5.1.2. Pay â execute the pay() function on Secservâs smart contract to transfer the USDC price.
- 5.1.3. Sign Message â after on-chain confirmation, the client signs an off-chain acknowledgment to receive decryption keys.
5.2. Platform Fee
- 5.2.1. Secserv.me deducts a 10% commission from the gross USDC price of each Paid Message.
- 5.2.2. The net amount (90%) is forwarded on-chain to the message creatorâs wallet.
5.3. Gas Fees
- 5.3.1. All gas fees are paid in ETH on the Base network per current network conditions.
5.4. Irreversibility
- 5.4.1. All on-chain operations are final and non-refundable.
- 5.4.2. Secserv does not mediate payment disputes or refunds.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
- 6.1. Encrypted Payloads are stored in off-chain object storage with metadata indexing only.
- 6.2. Free and Paid Messages expire per TTL or upon first successful decryption when delete-after-read is enabled.
- 6.3. Residual encrypted blobs are permanently purged within 24 hours of deletion triggers.
7. Service Availability & Maintenance
- 7.1. Secserv may, at its sole discretion, modify, suspend, or deprecate Platform features without notice.
- 7.2. We undertake commercially reasonable efforts to minimize downtime but offer no uptime guarantees.
8. Disclaimers & Warranties
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED âAS ISâ AND âAS AVAILABLE,â WITHOUT EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER SECSERV NOR ITS AFFILIATES SHALL BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA OR FUNDS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE PLATFORM.
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
- 10.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of a mutually agreed upon neutral jurisdiction.
- 10.2. Disputes shall be resolved via binding arbitration under ICC Rules, with venue set to a neutral forum.
